The night was enroaching upon the land as Althea galloped into the terra, where she hoped to find a stallion whose Darkness matched her own. Althea skidded to a halt, the turf flying from beneath her hooves as the muscles in her hindquarters rippled. The air was heavy with the scent of the horses that had passed, and she raised her head and gave a commanding whinny, "Who dares to claim me?" Althea lowered her head, and arched her neck as the moonlight danced across her body and created dappled shadows upon her pelt. The night air was still, and she felt within it a current of excitement and anticipation...somewhere in this vast and Dark terra, a stallion awaited her and Althea knew that together they would change the course of fate.

Hades swept the fields with 'is lifeless orbs. They were empty, just as 'e liked. As 'e turned back, 'e heard a whinny, coming from the claimage area. Twas too high to be from a brute. Hades smirked gleefully and cantered toward the sound. 'E was silent, ebony pelt gleaming dangerously in the bloody hue of the sky. At last, 'e beheld the fae. 'He was perfection with a smal bodice and thin legs. 'He seemed made for speed. However, 'e did not voice 'is appreciation and just trotted down to 'er. Hello mortal. I heard thee call for someone... evil. It means nothing ye isn't evil 'erself. 'E said with a desersive sneer. 'Is rough vocals cut through the air like a blade through a helm.

Althea gave an imperious snort as she studied the stallion before her, who gazed upon her in a condescending manner. I called for a stallion, not an awkward colt who knows one should address a fae with more respect then I have been privy too. For without the womb of a fae, there would be no one for proud stallions such as thee to arch their neck and woo a fae with spiteful words." Althea's tone was heavy with sarcasm and her dark orbs gleamed as she studied the surrounding forest, paying no more mind to the stallion before her.

Hades smirked. 'E liked this fae's spunk. Tis is a pity'e said, trying to look sorry. Although I am no colt. I be the God of Moon and thee is worthy of nothing but punishment for treating me like so. 'E was amused by the fae's reaction to 'is greeting.

as shocked, but it was not in her nature to admit defeat and never would she bow down to a stallion. Be he mortal or God. "Well, if thou is the God of Moon I am not surprised that thy alliance was banished to wander in the shadows as if we were carrion fowl instead of a proud and noble race." There was pain in her voice for the briefest of moments, a small mishap that she hurriedly righted by slipping back into her haughty composure, a veneer that was not easily pierced.

Ahhh, but who lives in these lands like carrion fowl, as ye puts it? 'E shot back. 'Is ebon pelt gleamed, and 'is orbs were shining with amusement. Without waiting to hear 'er reply, 'e cantered toward a scarce piece of vegetation, a small brush and started chewing on it, orbs gazing with a fierce intensity at the fae.

"That was for the Gods to choose," Althea retored sharply, matching the penetrating gaze of this somehow alluring stallion. "I am proud of my heritage and thus when the time comes to engulf the land in Darkness once more, I will be at the side of my chosen stallion and follow him to either death or victory." There was ruthlessness in Althea's tone and her orbs gleamed with a malicious light, one that neither pity or mercy would quench.

Hades smiled appreciably. If I remember correctly, twas Hrane who was banished here. Worry not, I will fight against the sunkissers. I want to vanquish them from this land and let the world be consumed by darkness. Worry not. 'Is eyes burned with the same fevered rage as 'ers.

"Hrane was a weak fool to allow himself to be banished. Better to die by thy enemy then to live a life of slavery. And it seems that thou is the one who is worried my Lord, with thou constant reassurance." There was a subtle mocking in Althea's tone, but there was also one of an innate longing. The longing borne into any fae, the longing to find oneself a mate. "Why doest thou wonder in the realms of the mortals?" she asked, a mild tone of curiosity entering her lilting voice.

For you the reassurance are for. I wander among mortals to see how they are faring, nothing more. Hades retorted. Still, 'e admired 'er.
(I gotta go now. See ya tom.)

(Sorry... there was a storm and everything. But it's over now.) Hades smirked at 'er facade. Although... I am looking for a wench as evil as I, and you fill that requirement perfectly... 'E tossed 'is cran and bumped 'er nape. Twas the only affectionate 'e could do while still retaining 'is dignity.

"Thou praises me so greatly," Althea retorted mockingly as she tossed her head and moved away from the great bulk of the stallion. "To think that a God of such lineage and heirachy would dare to visit attentions on those of the mortal realm is almost implausible." She arched her neck and a challenge was aflame in those fiery orbs, daring this God to unleash the Darkness he held within, daring him to show her why she should be claimed.

Indeed. Why should someone as powerful as I wander around the weakling mortals' realm? Am I not mistaken that thy is a mortal as well? 'E asked in a sarcastic tone. Although 'is voice was pleasant, if sarcastic, 'is orbs flickered with a fire that wasn't there a second ago.
