Secret Wish
During a time of great magic and superstition, lived one herd. This herd was known far and wide to survive the harshest conditions. Their leader, Araz, had led them to fame and glory. His mate, Akina, had gave the herd's colts many beautiful mates. For many a year, Araz and Akina ruled happily, looking after their herd.
But destiny turned its back on them, slaying all of their brave warriors in battle. At last, only few herd mares remained of the once huge herd. Then, most of them vanished, leaving only two. Aurora, wise and beautiful, and Arina, mischevous and a trouble maker. By then, Araz and Akina had grown old. Akina was now expectant with the last of their foals.
On the day of the birth, Akina felt unsettled. It proved her instincts were correct, for contractions began. Soon, a strong colt was born. He was dubbed Hzar, after his father. His coat was as pale as snow. Almost instantly, another foal was born. Her name was Hmera. Her pelt rivaled that of mist. As Hmera was born, Akina felt calm for she thought that the twins were the only foals. But, she was wrong. Moments later, another foal entered the world. It was a colt with an ebony coat and eyes that gleamed with a strange glow. His name was Hrane. Akina licked them dry and felt great pride in her heart. Now they had not one heir, but three.
As the years past, the triplets matured into fine adults. Hzar was the wisest of them, kind and considerate. Hmera was very loyal and very calm, until someone threatened her family. Then she would turn on them with all of the wrath in her heart. Hrane was cold and self absorbed. He disliked company and always enjoyed power. Even when they were younger and playing a game, he would always have to be the leader. But Hmera and Hzar didn't mind.
At last, they all turned 3 and it seemed to Azar that he should choose the new leader. He called to him his children. After a long debate, Azar told them Hzar would rule. Hmera agreed happily. But Hrane was overcome with anger and disbelief. He had always thought he would be the heir to the leadership. His anger grew until he could bottle it up no more. He murdered his parents. Then, he declared war against Hzar. As he did so, he asked Hmera to join him. Hzar intervened. He also asked Hmera to reside with him. Torn by her loyalty to her siblings, she fled.
Hrane was now angry at Hmera for deserting him, although he had solace that she did not join Hzar. He wanted a new name for his alliance, something others would fear. Gazing up at the moon, he smiled evilly. It was time to change something so pure into something that struck fear into others' hearts. The moon.
Hzar understood why his sister had fled. When Hrane declared war against him, Hmera couldn't decide which brother she should join. He had heard of his brother from his spies in the herd. It seemed he called his new alliance, Moon. Hzar puzzled about this and looked at the sun. It's rays shone so brightly, the clear glass water he and the rest of the rebuilt herd drank from. It was so strong.... Hzar knew now what to call his alliance. Sun.
Hmera fled deep into a gloomy forest. It was ridden with many wild cats. She often heard lions roar and the soft pads on their feet as they hunted looking for food. However, she survived. There was always mist in the forest, and since her coat was as pale as mist, she blended in perfectly. From within, she found another one who was lost in the forest, a stag. Together, they built a new herd and dubbed their alliance, Mist.
Then, the war began. Hzar led Suns, while Hrane led the Moons. Hmera and her herd stayed out of the conflict for she didn't approve of such fighting. For ten long years, the war raged, stealing many lives of valiant youths. At last, Hzar prevailed. He banished Hrane to the darkest parts of Secret Wish. Hrane claimed it as his part of Secret Wish, making 3 terras of it. Hzar and his herd lived in the sunniest part of Secret Wish, also making three terrains. Left alone, Hmera and her herd occupied what was left of Secret Wish.
Thus was the story of Hzar, Hrane, and Hmera. Now, descendants of Hzar, Hmera, and Hrane roam Secret Wish. What will you do? Continue Hrane's path and seek to vanquish all? Or are you calm and gentle, seeking for peace, like Hmera? Or are you Hzar, brave and wise, good and kind?
